Case Study Gas 1
A very large gas meter in the meter house was due for replacing. When the inlet and outlet valves were closed the 8” inlet valve was passing too much gas to allow the meter to be removed.

Case Study Gas 2
A 150mm gate valve was seized in the closed position, the redundant meter needed replacing.
To replace the meter the inlet and outlet valves would need to be closed, this would mean loss of supply to the factory.
Case Study Gas 3
A twin stream district governor feeding a small village, operating on a single leg had all the valves passing; this was caused by a high winter flow picking up dust which deposited itself in the valve gate guides.
